| Jerry Lewis co-wrote this comedic Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, co-starring bombshell Stella Stevens in her 1960s heyday. Lewis plays Dr. Julius Kelp, a nerdy chemistry professor, who creates a potion that releases his suave but bullying alter-ego, “Buddy Love.” The brilliantined Buddy L. smoothly takes charge of the hip crowd at “The Pit,” crooning songs like Dean Martin on steroids, teaching the bartender a thing or two about mixology, and making Kelp’s student, Stella Stevens, just a little weak in the knees. But as his dependence on the risky elixir increases, can Kelp keep Love at bay? Fun story, with Lewis at his zaniest. – TS | ||
